Kuwait University proudly presents Cultural Heritage Week, a vibrant celebration of Kuwaiti traditions, arts, and customs. This week-long event brings together students, faculty, and the community to honor and preserve our cultural legacy.

Event Overview

Experience the richness of Kuwaiti culture through a diverse program of activities, exhibitions, and performances across all university campuses.

Daily Schedule

Monday, February 25 - Traditional Arts Day

  • 10:00 AM: Opening Ceremony with Traditional Dabke Performance
  • 12:00 PM: Calligraphy Workshop
  • 2:00 PM: Traditional Music Performance
  • Location: Khaldiya Campus - Main Plaza

Tuesday, February 26 - Culinary Heritage Day

  • 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Traditional Kuwaiti Food Fair
  • 11:00 AM: Cooking Demonstration: Traditional Machboos
  • 1:00 PM: Coffee and Dates Ceremony
  • Location: Shuwaikh Campus - Student Center

Wednesday, February 27 - Traditional Crafts Day

  • 10:00 AM: Sadu Weaving Exhibition
  • 12:00 PM: Pottery Making Workshop
  • 2:00 PM: Traditional Jewelry Display
  • Location: Jabriya Campus - Arts Building

Thursday, February 28 - Maritime Heritage Day

  • 10:00 AM: Exhibition: Kuwait’s Pearl Diving History
  • 12:00 PM: Documentary Screening: “The Sea and Kuwait”
  • 2:00 PM: Traditional Boat Building Demonstration
  • Location: Khaldiya Campus - Conference Hall

Friday, March 1 - Grand Finale

  • 4:00 PM: Traditional Folk Dance Performance
  • 5:30 PM: Heritage Fashion Show
  • 7:00 PM: Closing Ceremony with Fireworks
  • Location: University Stadium - Shuwaikh Campus

All events are free and open to the public. University ID required for campus entry.
